Day 23: we had our second to last midwife appointment and at 3 weeks we are finally past our birth weight! Hooray! She still continues to feed fast and sleep a lot. Nights have been really good with a midnight and 5am feed. Iris loves floating around in the bath water and tracking us with her eyes up close. She has mummy's dimples and it is gorgeous when you get that spontaneous smile.

So I had to quickly feed Iris before we headed out to the playground, olive was already sitting in the buggy ready. After 15mins Iris is asleep so we are ready to go! only to discover olive is also asleep! This cold has really hit olive hard. Poor mooje.

First solo outing to the playground! Iris rugged up in the front pack, olive in the buggy. It went well. We walked home together and spotted some 'gorgeous flowers' glad my baby loves flowers too. They were weeds and she would pick them and then 'stick' them back. Loved the dandy loin and managed a big blow!

Day 20: Iris has the cough that has plagued mummy for months. Horrible to hear those lungs working so hard. She continues to sleep a lot (not used to this) and feed fast??!!!

All wrapped up warm this morning, one degree outside! We are getting a lot more smiles and talking from Iris and of course frowning at whatever her big sister Olive is doing. Which is usually loud! Love our 'just the two of us' outings, went to movies! And of course shopping, Iris is proving to be a great wing baby.

Today Olive had three boiled eggs with soldiers for second lunch after having fish fingers at playgroup. The new egg cup did the trick.

A beaut blue and still day in the capital. Managed a lovely walk along the waterfront with 'antsee', Lana & Nige. Saw some art, piano playing and had noodles for lunch. Finished off with the best tantrum Olive has ever had.(everything is awesome!) Iris slept like a baby, in fact didn't know we had left home. Later the kids enjoyed a box of fun while we enjoy a drink with Marcus, Jess and Orsen.

'Antsee's sock has become olive nappy changing glove, so 'poo doesn't go everywhere'!? It is also a magical glove rubbed over my face to make me happy instead of sad. When I say I'm sad with her behaviour, olive reacts by saying 'no your happy' not sure it works that way...

As I sit feeding, olive is happy putting her babies to bed. Iris then squeaks and olive states ' it's okay iris you will be going home soon' not sure olive understands she is here to stay. Olive also stated to nan 'when is that baby going home' hmmm...

Olive had to show Iris how to use the rings. 'You hold them like this Iris' olive is starting to be back to her usual self. Our happy mooje. Yesterday I picked her up from kcc and I was greeted with a leg hug and mummy mummy mummy! Makes me feel like the most special person in the world.

Olive is really enjoying being a big sister. She asked if iris could walk yet and after I explained she is too little but she will soon, olive said 'then iris can play with me and be a big kid!'

Waiting patiently for the doctor at A&E. Olive woke with a rash from head to toe at 4am and it just kept getting worst so we had our first trip to hospital. 4 hours later it has started to go down, what a mission. All very shattered today.
