Tramping - Why to Why Why
Morning spirits were high as we view the map of our proposed journey.
Other people had similar intensions to us, according to the book.
First swing bridge was the first hurdle.
The tramp was a pleasant stroll through grassy fields ....
Least the weather was on our side!
Pristine. Beautiful.
.... the uneasy crossing of four swing bridges ....
Hot. Sweaty. Unsure.
Tom's lunchtime friend was a spider the size of your fist ... No joke!
The rusted train gave us an amusing interlude.
....
Andy and Nicky remain positive, despite the journey ahead.
So does Gini.
.... an unexpected two hour creek climb with 17 stream crossings (both ways) ....
A very picturesque setting.
An example of the very strange foliage!
The Thompsons take a needed rest stop.
A widdle mushroom!
The river wading was unexpected!
Wet feet
.... along and through muddy deep waters ....
The return journey started with another river walk.
Following a quick change of socks and a warmup!
Resting on the way back.
An exhausted Andy, amazed we made it home again.
.... to an exhausted end.
Tom swears it looked solid. His boots beg to differ.
